Have you ever met a NASCAR driver?

i've gotten autographs from dozens of drivers and other NASCAR personalities. sometimes i think it depends on when you meet them, because i have to tell you my experiences with kasey kahne have been just the opposite of mbl's. i personally found him to be one of the nicest drivers in NASCAR. most drivers when they are signing autographs in the pits are walking pretty quickly and signing as they walk. twice, i've seen kahne stop in the middle of a crowd and sign for 15 minutes. that is VERY rare in the pits. i do concur with mbl about mark martin, however. i've gotten his autograph twice, both in the garage area. the second time in particular was a negative experience. he really made it known with his body language and facial expression that signing an autograph for me was a major imposition, it kinda hurt my feelings a little, and that's hard to do, i have very thick skin. but at least he DID sign, that's more than i can say about my experiences with tony stewart and jamie mcmurray, the 2 biggest @ssholes in NASCAR toward the fans, IMO. here, i'll rank drivers and celebs from nicest to meanest just judging from my personal experiences.

I have met Dale earnhart Sr and both the Allisons Bobby and Donnie and raced with some of the ones that came up from the ASA ranks at one time or another back in the day i mean in the seventies all these guys were great guys .. Mark martin for example is just the same in person as he is on television .. The nascar has been i give the black mark to is Darrel Waltrip cause he is a azz.. At Topeka Kansas about fifteen years ago he was at a truck race and my ten year old boy wanted him to sign his damn program and Darrel was just walking by and the little boy held up the program to the great Darrel Waltrip and he began to step very quickly away and then started to run and of course i was there yelling at him you no driving sob run you coward .. Deal is i have never been a waltrip fan anyway and he just added the frosting on the cake and i will never like that bastard ..

Yes I have met several, and I too have met Kurt Busch and he was really nice. The only driver I have ever come across who was a creep was JuanPablo Montoya.

Also I thought Brad Keselowski was a total dork, but he was not nice or mean.

in 1975 we ran a modified in New England. We were at a race at Star speedway and I was in line to draw for our drivers starting position. After I drew our spot the guy behind me drew his. It was Jerry Dostie. A former nascar Modified driver. Big Deal. I know, boring life.

Yes, I've met my hero, Jeff Gordon, at Hershey Park in PA a couple of years ago. I also met former Busch Series driver and brother of Dale Jr, Kerry Earnhardt.

Several and no bad encounter with any....the best looking though was Chad Little...

My favorite...I am one of the lucky few here who actually got to meet Dale Sr. and had a great little chat with him...and was able to chat without him being swamped by fans...at a rest stop on I95 south..such a real down to earth friendly man.
