how to change a flie from word to PDF?

hi, i need to take a file to the printer but the font used isnt compatable there. printer says change it to a PDF and all should be good.

i dont know how to do that. not sure this is in the right category either. if not sorry.

    Hi there

    If you're using MS Word 2007 or newer (if there is a newer one) - you know, the one where the menu options appear as icons across the top of the document, instead of the old-style drop-down menus - then it's easy. Just click on the circle at the top left hand corner and then click on "Save as". It will then bring up a bunch of different save options to the right (save as word document, save as word 93-2000 compatible document, etc) and you need to click on the one that says "PDF or XLS". This will let you save your word document to PDF and thus preserve all your fancy fonts and formatting etc, and it should open the pdf document right after you save it as well, so that you can see that it's right. If you're using an older version of MS Word though, then you may have to download a converter, like the person above me suggested. Good luck =)

    downlad cutePDF, it's awesome.

    you download and install it, then you can print a file, and in printer selection there will be a cutePDF option.
