How do I plug a small hole in my basement.?

There is a hole in my basement wall, where I believe a lot of spiders and centipedes are coming in . It's less than an inch in diameter. How can I plug it?

if the hole seems to be put there intentionally, do not plug it because it may be allowing water to run through it to prevent stress on the foundation of your house.

if that is not the case, use some polyethylene spray foam to plug the hole.

You can get an aerosol can of spray insulation foam from the hardware store. It'll quickly fill your hole.

Polly filler, you can get it in a powder form which you mix with water. Or you can get it ready mixed in a tub.
