So then what the f*ck is your alternative? You explained nothing.
Do you want to make it so that a child has to have a parent be a citizen in order to gain citizenship by being born here? That is what it sounds like to me.

I will quote the 14th ammendment:
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. "
What I was asking was what specific alternative do you suggest. Do you say that if you are a legal immigrant and you have a baby here he/she can be a citizen? You weren't specific at all in the details of your suggested amendment.
