What is more important, a clean home or a nicely decorated home?

I grew up in a home that the family kept straightened every day and which was scrubbed on the weekends. It was reasonably decorated. What is more important, a clean home or a nicely decorated home?

Clean of course...why? Because who wants to live in a well decorated but messy home?

Clean. No questions! Cleanliness can be the difference in a sick or healthy family for one, and another, it's always better for a house to be cleaned rather than just decorated nicely. Also, how can a dirty house be decorated nicely? Is that even possible? I don't think dirty dishes, or clothes or whatever the mess is would be considered nice decorations.

    Clean, within reason!

I'm not a clean freak. I've got 2 kids and 3 dogs, so 'clean' is always an uphill battle. Dog hair can be ... decorative!

I think it's more important that a home feels lived-in and comfortable than expensively-designed and decorated. Homes that feel too 'done' can be cold and unwelcoming.

A clean house definitely. Dirty houses are so unattractive and unhealthy. I've seen them and experienced them. : \

But i like houses that are clean and nicely decorated :)
