Buy a car from Canada and bring to the U.S.?
I found a good deal on a used car from a private seller in BC Canada. What steps must I take to get this ready for the road? Are there any special requirements I must go through? Also if I intend on picking the car up and driving it back to the states would I get any problems at the border with it not being in my name yet. I assume I could get temporary insurance or something.

Its very hard.. you have to get a letter from the car manufacturer certifying that it meet US emissions and safety standards, then you have to pay fees to import it..people recommend that you get a agent to handle the paperwork
