Algebra 2/Trigonometry?
I am going to be a sophmore in High School and I was wondering if you need to take geometry before taking algebra 2/trigonometry (one course). This year I am taking both of them together at the same time and I wondered if I am not going to know information necessary to being successful at algebra 2/Trigonometry being that I haven't taken geometry? Thanks.

Math builds on itself. For example if you skipped addition you would be unable to work with fractions. If you are unable to work with fraction you can not do algebra.
However I have found that Algebra2 and Geometry are completely independent of each other(I actually did algebra2 before geometry). Trigonometry , on the other hand, greatly relies upon geometry. DO NOT attempt to do trigonometry before geometry!!!

I took Algebra a million in 8th grade...and that i'm taking Geometry this 365 days...i might think of it extremely is incredibly stressful. i'm taking Algebra 2 next 365 days. Geometry comes after Algebra a million here.

Some of the proofs you will learn in Geometry will help you in Trig. But, you can still learn the material, it will just be a little bit harder. Otherwise, you should be fine if you can factor quadratics just by looking at them. If you cannot do this yet, you will be in for a LONG year. Good Luck!
