Working at McDonald's?
I'm 35 and have a college education. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I have no restaurant experience.
I am a single mom and need a job quickly with benefits. I hate to say I even have a masters degree but do not have month and months to look for work. I've already tried and its lead to nothing but a few good interviews and no job.

Since you are 35 and educated I think you should apply for a job as a temp or go to employment agencies where they can help you find a job. You should look in the paper and put your resume out on the internet where people can see it. Since you are an adult you could get a job in a office or even sales as they make more money then fast food. How about tutoring you can put signs up in High schools and university and tutors get 30 dollars an hour and up. You would be making more money and you can buy blue Cross's for benefits.

At McD they will treat you like any other 16 year old that might work there. At first you'll spend time training but then you'll just be making burgers and fries, you'll be seriously neglecting your true credentials!! Check the paper, or go to a Temp Agency and see what else there is out there. You could beat out other applicants for office jobs with a masters.
The benefits at McDonald's aren't cheap, and on minimum wage just might not be worth all the work.
Good luck and hang in there!

i think you should be able to find some awesome jobs with your credentials. But if you really really really must work at mcDonalds, they don't care if you have experience or not.
Why don't you apply for a job at any number of non-profits or state or county or city jobs that need bilingual people. You can use your degree and maybe get paid more.
Or, you can work for a company that needs smart people in the office etc.

You probably won't get hired at McDonald's because with a masters degree you are way over qualified.
