Fibonacci sequence and Golden ratio?

I have to write a couple paragraphs on the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio so I was wondering what some of the similarities and differences were between the two.

    F(n) = ⌊ (φ^n + 1) / √5 ⌋

    Where φ is the golden ratio and F(n) is the nth Fibonacci number. The function ⌊x⌋ is the floor function (round down).
