Did anyone lose respect for Joey Logano today?
I certainly did. First, he calls Kevin Harvick stupid at Pocono, and then he go and insults Ryan Newman and the way he races after HE got loose under him! If he had beef with Ryan racing him that hard, then why didn't Logano back off? Sheesh...

I didn't lose respect for him today because I NEVER had respect for him in the first place. I've always disliked him ever since he started in the Nationwide series. I always thought he was cocky and ignorant, and I'm glad people are finally starting to realize that. He races other drivers hard all the time, but when someone else races him hard, he gets mad and whines about it.
Logano said Newman always races him hard, but I think it's the other way around. Logano wrecked Newman at Talladega this year and caused the big one. I can't think of one time where Newman wrecked Logano. Even if Newman does race him hard, he needs to man up and realize that's part of racing.
Until he learns to grow up, I will never have any sympathy for Logano. He's a punk and always has been.

A little.
You earn respect it doesn't get handed to you.
The thing that bugs me more (and its not just Logano) is the why race hard when a lot of race is left? This is why fans get bored with the racing. There is no action in the middle because you just have 35 or so guys just riding around for 2/3 of the race. You don't need to run 200 qualifying laps like Kyle Busch tries either. There is a happy middle.

Not really. I've seen almost every driver out there make a comment similar to those made by Joey after a crash. It's always someone else's fault and they didn't do anything wrong. And fans of the other driver complain about the driver who made the comment. I've seen it with Harvick and I've seen it with Newman they are just on the other end of the incident this time.

Yes I did. After Pocono in June, I agreed with Logano, but after today, it was Joey's fault 100% and he was mad at Newman. I know it was a racing deal, but Newman did nothing wrong. I think Joey was in the wrong with what he said. Newman is just outside the chase, and he needs every point he can get. If Joey doesn't like people racing him, maybe racing isn't for him.

I'll take the 5th and leave you with the verbal. Joey sure uses the Friggin word a lot.
Quotes from
http://www.nascar.com/2010/news/headlines/cup/08/1...
"Give someone an inch, man," Logano said.
"No, I gave you the whole race track," Newman said.
"I was on the bottom and you door-jammed the crap out of me," Logano said. "There's six lanes up top."
Newman would have none of it.
"I was six lanes up, and I steered up and tried to miss you, because you couldn't control your damn race car," he said.
"Because I was freaking sideways because you were on my freaking door," Logano said. "All right, I'll door-jam you every freaking time I get around you."
With that, the drivers traded shoves, with Logano delivering the first push.
After the two drivers were separated, Newman delivered a parting shot.
"I'm good," he said. "I'm just trying to teach the little kid how to drive."

I lost all respect for Joey a long time ago. When he first got into Nascar, I was happily a fan of his. After that, his true colors came out. I didn't even really lose respect for him because of what he has said in the past, instead, it was all of his damn whining. Today was another prime example of that. He was bit**ing about Ryan racing him "too hard". Come on Joey, there's no place for whining about that in NASCAR. I have to say though, I've lost respect for other drivers for the same exact reason, and not all rookie drivers either. I remember Gordon saying the same thing on more than one occasion, it just irritates the hell out of me. A good driver will race hard throughout the whole race, just not so hard that they constantly wreck people.
But anyways, I do agree with you on your last statement. It takes two to race hard. If Lagano was a bit uneasy about the situation, all he had to do was back off, and let him go.

Kyle became probable excited for the toddler, after all Kyle became working dazzling at the back of his Cup sequence substantial different. perchance Kyle wanted it that way for Joey. perchance Kyle even "had his back" so which you may talk. Joey Logano's win effected Kyle under no circumstances. anyone would be satisfied now at JGR. Now it is Hamlins turn to win a Cup race, and JGR would be dazzling in the spotlight

Joey Logano will lose as much respect (and fans) as Kyle Busch has. If you figure it out that way, the guy has no problems. Although I wish Joey would learn a few lines to blow off the media with when they shove a microphone in his face. Or when he's talking to a veteran driver.

I will probably get thumbs down on this, but Joey is just a kid racing in a adult sport he needs time to grow up. I see no problem him asking Ryan the question. It looked to me like Ryan didn't handle the situation very well. He is the veteran driver, could he not have talked to Joey rather than shove him! I think it made Ryan look bad, to even shove a kid like that. IMO!
EDIT: Matt says it best it goes both ways.
