if im from colorado but graduate in another state does being from colorado still give me an advantage?

i lived in colorado since i was born up until my junior year in high school, if i moved to another state but am planning on applying to schools in colorado does that give me an advantage over others?

    Not really because your state of residency is now your new state. They do not ask where you used to live, they ask you where you are a resident. You could, however, put in an essay that you used to live in Colorado and would like to return to the state, but it still will not make you a state resident now.
