first of all, calm down!!! there is no need to stress about school, let alone 6th grade! i'm in highschool now and i look back at 6th grade and wish i could go back! it was so fun and and so easy! about the makeup...there's really no need for a 6th grader to start wearing makeup yet. i started wearing makeup in the end of 7th grade. and you may be thinking "oh well im mature enough, im more mature than other 6th graders...i can wear makeup." but i was pretty physically matured in 6th grade and i STILL didnt wear makeup. so just hold off on that because trust me that wont make you any more popular. i was very popular in 6th grade and it was because i was nice to everyone and got good grades and focused on the important stuff. not the stupid stuff that didnt even matter in the long run like how my hair looked and what makeup i was going to wear. wearing my hair a special way in 6th grade didnt help me get into a great highschool. so focus on just having fun and being yourself! dont try so hard to fit in because believe it or not its GOOD to be different. youll actually stand out more and people will notice you. which is what you want! :)

You're in sixth grade and you're worried about all that crap? Damn. I'm sorry.

Well, if you don't like the way your skin looks (due to redness, acne, other natural occurrences), you can start using powder. I prefer to use Clinique, and if you visit a Clinique counter they'll help you choose which powder best fits your skin tone (as I'm sure all make-up places do). I wouldn't start eyeliner just yet, but maybe you can use some neutral colored, or not -too- poppy eye shadow. Maybe some light barely-visible lip gloss. Mascara, maybe, but I don't think you should wear it. Well, I don't think makeup is at all necessary, especially since I'm sure you look fine without it, but I'm guessing that's not what you want to hear. Just keep the makeup at a minimum.

As for you hair-- I've never seen it, so I can't give you any real tips on it, but wash it often, and keep it natural, and parted to the side. Straightening it can take up a buttload of time, and your hair can look better natural than straitened (especially if it is curly). I used to have a lot of frizzy hair, so I started using Paul Mitchell, and the super skinny serum (people that work at the store usually know what's good for that). Mousse helps keep your hair in place and soft, and I love it in general.

Overall, try not to worry about that crap. It doesn't help in the long run, and if you are yourself and you're nice to people then you'll be fine. You really shouldn't wear makeup or do any of that at all. HAVE FUN!! You're only in sixth grade, you still have SO, SO much time to do all that stupid fashion stuff, and when you look back, you'll wish you could go back to the time when it didn't matter.

    Good luck!

Well I'd say try to be yourself and don't wear to much makeup beacause too much makes you look fake or ugly. If you want makeup just wear eyeliner, mascara and some lipgloss. As for the glasses, ask your parents for some contacts (thats what I did) or try a different style in glasses that makes you look less "geeky". You can try a new haircut that looks nicer in your opinion or tie your hair up in differnt styles using hair clips and bobby pins. If your struggling with work ask friends, teachers, and parents for help. I know your scared I was the same way when I entered six grade and I was the new girl who knew no one.

before i awnser your question i want to say this: girl you are too young to wear make up i started when i was in grade 8!!!

but here is the thing you have to learn how to be confident with yourself before you wear makeup.

it saddens me to see first like your age arent happy with themselves. You have to understand that you are beautiful *including your hair* and those girls who are mean to you obviously have things that are bothering themselves.

When you start wearing makeup (for your age) you might want to have:

    eyeshadow

    lip gloss

    and sometimes mascara

makeup remover? but you can also use ol' soap and water

Now to answer your question, do not use cheap makeup (NYC for an example), that is the worst thing for anyone to do, just buy something like covergirl. And get the eyeshadow with the natural colors (browns & tans). Get a lip gloss or chap-stick that has a spf in it. So you always protect your skin.

Make sure you always wash your face at night.

**never let someone bring you down, and dont be scared everything will be fine**

keep yourself clean at all times! i mean it, it helps you feel more comfortable and confident and look/smell better too. i'm telling you this b/c you're in 6th grade and you'll be hitting puberty soon if you haven't already and things can get a little hectic.

i don't think you should wear any make up, you're in 6th grade! plenty of girls survive without it at that age! but if you want to, you can get a tinted lipgloss and maybe a little blush. but at 10/11/12, you don't really need it. i say stay away from eyeliners and mascaras because they get in your eye when you don't know how to put them on and it an just make things uncomfortable, that's why you should go with lipgloss and a little blush, you can control it more.

you can also paint your nails, get an older female (your mom or older sis, perhaps?) to paint your nails for you and show you how you can paint them yourself. having painted nails make you look a little more put-together and cute!

as for your hair, i say stick with cute hair bands and hairclips, think EFFORTLESS! do something simple like this: http://media.sheknows.com/articles/hippie-girl-thm...

and remember to wash your face and wear deodorant

Everyone is nervous when starting a new school. Don't try to be the center of attention and go with the flow! friends will come when they get to know you better! Don't change yourself for others. Dress how you want to dress and as for make up i'm sure you look beautiful without it!

O_o it's 6th grade...no need to wear make up. Just be yourself. You're not even a teenager yet.

maybe wear mascara, or if you want to be really bold also wear eyeliner. straighten your hair, or curl it, try talking to the other kids and see you if and the other kids have anything in common, and maybe becom friends with them.
