What's wrong with my bf's parents?
Hi, I'm Caucasian and my bf's African American and his parents don't want him dating me because I'm not black. It's not my personality or my life style. I have a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at NYU. I'm a good person. My parent's have no problem with me dating someone who is any different race. His parent's stated that " She's a skinny white girl, you ain't datin no white girl, William !" I think this is beyond ridiculous...Our ancestors all started out the same , skin color doesn't make you a different species. We are one race, the HUMAN race. What do you guys think?

i think because his parents was anticipating him dating the same race as he is, his parents didn't expect that he would like another race. as long as your happy it's all that matters.

well how long have you guys been going out for? If you guys are in a serious long term relationship, then dont mind his parents. It's totally up to you and himself. If you just started dating, them dump his A*S its not worth it!

Is he himself educated? it might be that they are sexist and don't like the fact that you would be earning more then him.
