would/do jewelry stores buy back jewlery?
My friend has an old engagement ring that she is looking to sell. She doesn't know what jewelry store it came from but.. would a jewelry store buy back the ring from her ?
If not, where could she sell it NOT including ebay ?

If the diamond has a grading certification she can sell it to a jewelry store. She may also want to look into wholesalers, who would probably just take the diamond out of the setting and sell it.
If she doesn't have a grading report she should get one - assuming it's a decent diamond, that is the best way to ensure a fair price. If not, even if it's a great diamond she could get underpaid by an unscrupulous jeweler. You can get the diamond graded at a place like GIA.
