Why do liberals keep insisting the mosque is a Constitutional issue?
Don't they watch the news or look at the polls? It's a sensitivity and common sense issue. No one is even arguing that it is unconstitutional. Even 57% of Democrats are against the mosque at Ground Zero. That number will grow even higher as this gets out into the open.
The fact is that Obama showed no spine or leadership in alluding that he was for the mosque while talking to a Muslim group, then backtracking the next day when he was 1,000 miles away. America looked for his personal opinion, but he wasn't man enough to give it. That led many prominent Dems. including Harry Reid to come out against it.
Obama has just rammed a log-splitter through the Dem. party right before elections. A top democrat analyst said last night that there is no way Obama can win New York or New Jersey now. That is what, like a 150+ point electoral vote swing right there.
What a freaking tool!
Mark-
No I don't want government to step in, but we have a right to know exactly where Obama stands on the issue.
The mosque isn't going to be built anyways.

There are literally a thousand ways for the City of New York to block the construction ranging from zoning to noise ordinances. The problem is that the commissioners are too concern about their families being killed by terrorists or their homes being burned to the ground, or their children being kidnapped and beheaded on YouTube if they oppose the construction of this “peaceful” Islamic structure on sacred ground.
@Crow: That's the problem, they're at war with us and we don't even know it. All we see in the news are the friendly peaceful ones sent to convince us the rest are just as peaceful, but People downplay the fact that even if they’re telling the truth and only a small percentage of Muslims actually follow the Koran closely enough to practice Jihad, that small percentage of the billion Muslims on the planet adds up to millions of them dedicating their lives to killing infidels (non Muslims) a number far greater than any other religious group in history. Wake up and realize what’s going on before it’s too late.

through fact: A. it style of feels unlikely to prevail, and liberals (to boot as moderates like myself) are starting to be uninterested in this crap. The republicans do not possibly seem doing plenty at present different than attempt to dam issues they do in comparison to in any way feasible. b. notwithstanding if it the courtroom cases do prevail, it may nicely have extra to do with how the courtroom feels approximately Obama maximum suitable now than notwithstanding if or not the bill is definitely unconstitutional. the undeniable fact which you're arguing "this could bill would be chanced on unconstitutional through fact the perfect courtroom does not like Obama" is rather stressful, because it style of seems such as you fairly could desire to be arguing "This bill would be chanced on unconstitutional through fact it somewhat is unconstitutional," and in ordinary terms that. a minimum of if that's what you suspect.

The muslims have a right to build the mosque, but it is very politically incorrect for them to build it in that location.

So you're admitting that the right is just making hay out of this. There's nothing that can or will be done to stop it, so why keep bringing it up?

Because hypocritical Republicans want to make a political issue, they say they "uphold the constitution", but want to keep those rights from the people they choose to keep them from.

there are US nukes floating in Scotland's waters, where the english, our 300 year old masters HAVE allowed you to place them, over the overwhelming rights and majority of the scottish people.
Who wish you would get rid off....
Yet the New Yorkers have a problem with a place of worship while your weapons of mass destruction puts my country in danger every day/

Do you want some level of *government* to block the building of the mosque, or do you just want to keep saying, loudly, that the mosque should not be built, hoping the Imam will choose to stop?

Liberals stand in the yellow tinged, shallow end of the sensitivity pool.
