How comes some white people take credit for inventions made by white people, but?

I don't take credit or responsibility for any actions that weren't my own. I don't need a pat on the back for the Sistine Chapel and I don't need any $hit over people who owned slaves before my ancestors even came to the USA.

Africans didn't invent slavery - humanity invented slavery in their own separate pockets of the world it was just approached in different ways. Europeans invented the form of chattel slavery that we're all most familiar with. It never existed anywhere outside of the Americas.

Taking credit is a positive thing. Slavery isn't. Also black people weren't the first enslaved. Slavery has happened for thousands of years. So yeah, we done it. Not proud of it, shouldn't have brought you out of your natural environment, but what's done is done. Besides, be honest.. Would you rather be in Africa or America? :)

Slavery has been around much longer than a few hundred years, it would not be correct for them to take credit for it.

I don't understand your point. White people didn't start slavery. If you think the slaves brought to America from Africa was the beginning of slavery you need to go back to school. Also most of the slaves brought here from Africa were already slaves of other black tribes and were bought from the other blacks by the whites. Don't let your hatred and misinformation cause YOU to judge others wrongly. What the early white settlers did to slaves was not right but it was not the first and it is not modern day whites burden to carry.

Yes, Action Jackson is right, Africans invented slavery. They also had white slaves BEFORE whites had black slaves.

It wasn't us that made you slaves it was your own people they sold you for trinkets we bought you and made a profit off of you people have had slaves for thousands of years. It was only a big deal cause it was once race enslaving another. I take full credit for it and I think It would still be okay for you to still be slaves because you were sold to us for that reason and we are just getting our moneys worth.

@Action: It was Arabs that started enslaving the Africans. The other Africans sold prisoners of war to other tribes and to the Europeans.
