1. For everyone mentioning Rashard Lewis as a piece in the deal; they can rule that out. Lewis has one of the more notorious overpaid contracts in the NBA, and it's doubtful Denver would take it on.
2. Jameer Nelson is an option, but I still believe Denver is relatively happy with Chauncey Billups, so I'm really counting Orlando out of this. They're already over the cap if my mind serves me right.
Therefore I believe it will be the New York Knicks; where he's wanted to go all along, and where it looks likely Chris Paul will follow if possible. He'd obviously be a tremendous fit in Orlando as their scoring option while Dwight Howard handles the defensive side of things, and scores inside with Nelson distributing; but I just can't see what Denver would take in return to get a deal done.
I think the Knicks would need to send Gallinari, and two first-round picks to just get the conversation going. Then if the Knicks give up that, what do they eventually have to offer for Chris Paul? As much as it seems like the Knicks are big players -- I still can't see it. Donnie Walsh will need to work some serious magic to somehow land both Anthony and Paul to go along with Amare..because as of now -- both situations are sign-and-trades. There'd need to be other teams in the mix.
BQ: Doesn't bother me much, I think Denver should deal him ASAP to get the highest value they can before he inevitably walks. Gouge the Knicks draft picks for years to come, and build from within the draft.

Orlando because he would be the scoring punch that they need. I would think they would trade Lewis to get Melo, but he and Howard along with a guy like Nelson would be much more then what the Knicks would have. Amare and him are both scorers.
BQ: Fine with me.
@Rob- That contract is getting old. Not like they would own him 5 years and 100 mill if they traded for him mid-season. There would be 2.5 years left on the deal. Yes, that is a lot, but not to much if they get 2 or 3 other nice pieces with it. I also think that the Nug would be looking to give back a bad contract. They also have the expiring contract of Carter to trade. So, yes, they are over the cap, but they have 2 contracts that are interesting to trade for max guys.

Orlando would be a better opportunity to win, but the Knicks would suit him best. It's his home town, he played college ball in NY etc..
He could build the Carmelo brand better in NY, the marketing opportunities would be their for him. I think he likes being in the spotlight, and he would definitely accomplish that playing for Knicks.
I think he would fit well in D'antoni system as well.

I think he should go to the Knicks because although he has less chance of winning there, he will do well and convince others to come to New York to make the team!
The Magic do need a better SF though so i wouldn't mind seeing him go either way

definitely a better fit in ORL....he gives them a real threat at small forward. Since lewis is purely a 3point shooter and doesn't do too much. he also takes away the double team from howard. and gives nelson or reddick enough room to shoot open 3s!

particular. With that being reported, ESPn in basic terms confirmed a stat that Amare and Melo are the coolest 2 isolation gamers in the recreation...they get maximum of their factors off isolation performs. So it my take some video games to regulate. with a bit of luck Billups and Amare can grasp the %. and roll.
