Wow maybe your subconscious is telling you that the end of the world may be near...or you feel that way.
I wouldn't really mind the aliens invading because I don't understand what possible harm they could have on humans. I doubt there are actual little green buggers that want to destroy all mankind.
maybe it's the food you're eating before you go to sleep. I heard chinese food gives people nightmares.

Just an active imagination. Try writing a novel or short stories it'll help you get over it and who know where it might lead.
