Why do some people critize black women who relax their hair?

I just hope people realize that some black women actually just straighten their hair from time to time. I even have a cousin with naturally straight hair so she never got a relaxer and no matter what people will always think that she has a relaxer. More and more black women are going natural whther they have kinky or curly hair. Just check youtube. There are alot of videos.

relaxing your hair doesn't mean you hate your natural hair you just want it to have a different texture and try a new style. But black hair can be straightened without it being relaxed. Just like white ppl can have more volumized hair without it being permed or teased.

Because they have nothing better to do. I hate with other black girls criticize others for perming as if adding heat to your hair is so much better. I perm because I like to. No one cares that some white girls bleach their hair like crazy. I think everyone should just mind their own business when it comes to what hairstyles other choose from themselves.

IDK! I see this a lot on here. When white women, get their hair colored, fusion extensions, permed curly. I have a friend who spent 250 to keep her hair baby blonde. It looks good but when a black woman relax her hair they seem to think that they don't like there hair. this is the culture we live in. all women like to play with there looks. To me the media is trying to dehumanize and take away black women Feminine. Its okay for non-whites to play with there looks but black women get put down for it..

Because if you relax your hair some people think that its conforming to european beauty but if you have nappy hair some people think its ugly because they have a mentality that straight hair is the best. We just can't win. lol jk...

We are criticized over everything. Whether we have natural, weave, relax hair we are still criticized.

I only criticize racist black women who claim to hate white people then try to look like them..

Some people are just attracted to complaining about everything. Even if you do something they think is better they still complain. :D Those my dear are called hypocrites and have nothing better to do.
