I have a computer running on broadband. If I get a Barnes n Noble NOOK e reader, I need WiFi connection. How?

do I go about doing that just for the E reader? Is it through my cable company or my cell phone company?

You'll need to have one of two things to have wireless internet in your house.

A Internet modem that already has wireless built in

Or a wireless router hooked up to your current internet modem.

The Wifi connection is through your current cable internet companys line. The Internet device might have wireless built into it. Look on it to see if theres an antenna and/or a wireless light on it. If you dont see either, youll need to buy and hookup a wireless router and the cable company doesnt help with those installations, Hopefully you have a family member that could set one up for you. Instead of paying more money for a computer business to do it. Good Luck

Phone company.. You need a wireless router then. Look at best buy for a router. net gears are usually good. but yea. just go to best buy and ask for some help on a wireless router and say about how big your home is because they need to know for the signal. If they suggest one to you buy it if you want but buy it cheaper online at Amazon.

All you need is a router . It goes between your modem and computer . This will allow you to connect your e reader
