Whos the greater evil? Japan or China?

Who is the greater evil now? That's easy. It is the Chinese Communism.

Chinese Communist government do not treat its citizens right, that's obvious. i.e. Tienanmen Square Massacre, SARS cover-up.

The government also allows pollution to go out of control, but safeguards the productivity of factories.

The Chinese Communist steal military secrets from USA and sell off to North Korea, Sudan, Liberia, etc. China whines about USA selling weapons to Taiwan. But they're all defensive weapons. If China has no intention on offensive military actions, they do not need to worry.

It is just scary and sad the world's second largest economy and world's largest population oppress its own people.

Who WAS a greater evil?

the Japanese military imperialism during WW2.

the Chinese Yuan empire which spans to central Asia, another example of military imperialism.

We all know that China has been having problems with over population and the whole lead in their toys with paint.

But Japan did terrible things in the past with involving many countries in world war 2. They were known as a power hungry country, even going as far as attacking the U.S when they are at least 5 times bigger. Heck, they got wiped out after 2 atomic bombs!

I would say each country is equal.

Japan was evil and their culture is still very evil. i.e. Japanese men are sadists, so I don't believe any responsible country would let Japan recreate their old empire.

That being said, China is currently the greater of the two evils, because Japanese men have tempered their sadism with courtesy towards women and logical restraint in dealing with situations, and China has not.

Also, China has initiated an undeclared economic war on the West, doing it's absolute most to suck every industry from the US and the EU through any means possible.

Many Chinese still hold hatefulness towards Japan due to events of WWII. While it is true that some of the Japanese text books skim events, like the Nanking massive, and they still have to explain themselves, Chinese seem to be taught in a way that induces hatefulness towards Japan.

Evilness

Japan - evil for past problems and relation to them, which are out in the open (nationalism and such), CCP the greater evil for hiding their evil work and misleading.

Japan, it provoked wars with different countries

and killed hundreds thousands civilians.

It attacked Pearl Harbour, and caused thousands

militaries deaths.

I'd like to avoid applications to the common citizen's of either country, and focus on the governments and their policies. With this caveat, the PRC/CPC is far worse than Japan. The PRC/CPC is more imperialistic than Japan ever tried to be, and they have killed millions over the years without yet acknowledging any of it.

Oh, sure Japan, much like Germany gets to be a perpetual American/British/Chinese/Korean boogeyman because of one little bad stretch out of a 1500 year history.

But China, for the past 2000 years, pretty much exterminates anyone unfortunate enough to fall under their domain and not be ethnically Han, yet still has a large number of people slobbering over its ancient, "magnificent" culture.
