Why do gay people like to show off their sexuality?

if you want to be treated like everyone else ( aka 'equality')

then stop trying to flaunt it.

we get it, you're gay. move on with your lives.

it seems that being gay is the only part of you.

Well, what defines flaunt to you? Is wanting the same marriage contract flaunting? Is having your marriage posted in every local newspaper falunting? Is wearing a wedding ring and displaying family photos on your desk flaunting?? Is talking about your children flaunting? Is talking about the date you have planned this weekend flaunting? Is asking for time off for a honey moon flaunting? Is demanding to be able to see your partner in the hospital flaunting? Is applying for a mortgage or other loan together flaunting? Is holding hands flaunting? Is a small kiss flaunting?

Because I swear, every person who I have ever heard say this are straight people who do ALL of those things, but expect gay people not to.

    So, what is flaunting?

  • Oh, & straight people do NOT?

I guess you never go outside, watch TV, read, interact with people, or use the internets. Oh, wait...you DO use the internet because you asked this asinine question.

When you got on the web, did you see anything about:

    dating

    "male enhancement"

    psychics to find "true love"

    watched any movies

    ?

If you did, that's all HETERO sex. YOU guys flaunt it EVERYWHERE-on the streets, TV, commercials, movies, etc etc.

We make up 10% of the population. I am who I am, & I'm not going to not be affectionate with my wife when we want to. This affection includes those minor PDAs (hand holding, hugging, quick peck on the lips/cheek, playing with hair, etc) that straight folks do all the time without anyone batting an eye.

Seems like the pot is calling the kettle black, or you're just not getting any. MYOB.

Gay people will be required to stop "flaunting" their sexualities, when heterosexuals are required to do the same.

    With television programs like:

    Dating in the Dark

    Bachelor Pad

    The Bachelor

    The Bachelorette

and the like - it certainly would appear you don't see both sides of the coin.

If heterosexuals are allowed to display their sexualities, then so are homosexuals.

    *yawn*

    Justin, Justin, Justin.....

Pick up a newspaper, watch a movie, look at internet websites - any media will do.

And you will see straight people kissing, holding hands, falling in love - flaunting their sexuality.

We get it, you're straight, move on with your lives. It seems that being straight is the only part of you.

    Fail, imbecile.

That's a major generalization, 99% of us don't flaunt it around, and what about straight men? It's always boobs, and vagina. And straight women aren't much better. It seems like being straight and an ignorant waste of air is the only part of you.

i see tons of straight people making out at the movies, parks, streets, the beach, etc etc etc

Why do you flaunt it? we get it that you are all straight, MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIVES

IT SEEMS THAT BEEN STRAIGHT IS THE ONLY PART OF YOU.

not too late, you still have time to learn tolerance before it is too late and you are a victim of your hate.

    cheers

You are talking about a VERY small percentage of gay people, as well as a small percentage of straight people as well. You will always have people trying to rub that crap in your face but it's not ALL gay people. So please take your ignorance elsewhere.

I act no different with my partner in public than the average straight couple.

We don't! I dont see any lesbians making out in white wet tshirts around the mall... on the other hand breeders like that soooo why are you complaining?

  • 1 decade ago

Not all gay people are flamboyant, just the ones that are can quite memorable.

There are stereotypes for all kinds of people, skills, races etc. even internet trolls...

    um, hypocrite much?

I can't walk down the street holding hands with my boyfriend without drawing negative attention, straight people can.

I can't kiss my boyfriend in public without drawing negative attention, straight people can.

I can't introduce him as my boyfriend without drawing negative attention, and yet, there are straight people introducing their lovers/partners, and no one harass them, yells abuse at them, calls them names for it.

I can't talk about my boyfriend, because, in your eyes, that's me 'flaunting' my sexuality.
