Mac OS X loud static noise?

I just got an iMac OS X about 4 months ago and every now and again when I log on it will make a really loud static noise. It goes away when i mute my computer, but my question is do you know why this happens and what i can do to fix it?

Any help is very much appreciated.(:

    Unfortunately it sounds like the speakers are making a contact with some inside the iMac. You need a pro to check it out. Sounds like they either need to be replaced or something needs to be moved out of the way.

    There are quite a few variations of Mac OSX attainable for workstation. As suggested in the previous, they're all extremely unlawful. that's feasible to do, however the biggest subject is video card drivers. Mac dosen't somewhat make drivers for domicile windows video enjoying cards, and your video card producer dosen't somewhat need to spend time transforming into a driver for a gadget that there product won't artwork in. in short, the working structures run with diverse hardware, for this reason making it puzzling....yet feasible.
