Discuss one trend and an example of how Microsoft added functionality to the SQL server to keep products align?

    I'm not sure exactly what the context and meaning of 'products align' are here, but as just a stab in the dark, I'd say using VBA as a common programming language for most Microsoft products, allowing the various application to communicate and pass data between themselves.
