My dog has pimples on his face?

I have a three year old Pug. He's AKC registered and very well taken care of. However, He gets these pimples on his face and then digs on them until they bleed. I don't know what they are and the vet says don't worry but they seem to be irritating him and I want to find something to stop them. They group up and get rather ugly. Please help

You have to clean his face all the time. Because of the tight wrinkles, lots of bacteria grows and then they get pimples. I suggest calling your vet for skin care and washing his face very often.

EDIT: WOW, Kenny. I have never seen such dumb people on YA (except trolls) in my life... Puberty? You have GOT to be kidding me...

    EDIT: Your welcome :)

  • As others have said, it could be allergies, or a skin issue. Also, do you let him play outside often, or in a garden? I ask because they could also be ant bites. Scan your yard or anywhere else he plays outdoors for ant hills, etc... Also, if your vet is showing that little concern about this, which could be something more serious, I'd find a different vet, and quickly. Before something serious DOES come up, and then you're stuck with this one.

i gues it's just a natural thing that pugs are prone too, because i've seen it before. try asking the vet for anything that can help clear them away.

It could be an allergic reaction to something. I suggest finding another, maybe holistic, vet that will pay more attention to your dog's problems.

He's going through puberty. Get him medicated cream prescribed by your vet if your worried. He doesn't like pimples on his face because it's a change he's never felt before.
