I know a user who spams in the "What's your source" box. Is this a violation?

This person does answer the question, but every time he does, he puts the name of a legitimate website that sells paints in the "What's your source" box. Is this a violation and if so, how would you report it. Please note, his answers are not spam, but the "source" for his answers are.

As long as the link relates to the question asked and is not just a link to promote their own website it would be ok. If the link has nothing to do at all with the question asked and is posted with every answer then it could be spam. If that is what happens report the sources as Spam and copy and paste it into the details --Report 6 as this will get a human review with the anti stalker kicking in. --------This is from the Spam Fighters thread on the suggestion board -=== WHAT COUNTS AS SPAM? ===

Spam is any regular repeated posting of links, for commercial purposes. It is usually posted by accounts that do nothing else (with the exception of a few that give vague "real" answers half the time, to try and look legitimate). http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&...

Hell to the yes it's a spam violation!

Report it as "answers question but spams in the source box."

Then sit back and let Y!A do their thing.

They can't say it's not a legitimate report, since spamming is a violation, no matter where they try to sneak it in.
