'laid' or 'layed' an egg?

Usually I would use the word 'laid', but in the case of my chickens laying an egg, do I say she's 'laid', or 'layed'?

TIA

    Layed is not a word.

Layed is an old english alternative spelling for laid.

It is not longer in use and is considered incorrect.
