My norebook is all messed up after I had nasty maleware. how can I restore it to factory settings? I have tried everything

When you first turn on the computer you need to push a key depends on your computer model but it can be F8 F9 F10 F11 F12 F1 anyone of those then go into the bios and from there look around for an option to reset to factory settings keep in mind though this will require you to reinstall windows or whatever your operating system is.
