Exotic dancers only!!! answer this?

ok I have a dance audition at this strip club the other day,but I didn't go because I feel like I cant bring myself to get topless in front of strangers. I'm to the point where I cant find a job and I need to pay for school and I would be dancing by myself. Where you scared to dance when you first started? How was your first night;was it better or worst then you thought? Did you go in with a friend or alone, and did your family treat you differently?

Update:

I wanted a daycare, but that didnt work in my favor so bills need to be paid and so do the rent.

I'm not a dancer, but I know enough about clubs to give some advice. If you're interested in stripping, you need to first be comfortable with the place you're going to. Go as a customer first and pay attention to the way the men are handling the dancers. In any strip club, there will always be some attempted touching, and many dancers encourage touching and even more to turn a bigger profit. You obviously aren't interested in such tactics, so you must be prepared to say no to a client.

As a dancer, you have all the power to set limits to what kind of dancing you will provide and never be afraid of stopping a customer or asking the management for help. If you decide to work as a dancer, I know as personal experience, that the best weapon for a customer is to talk and be clear of what you want. This works both ways, as a dancer, your best bet is to make clear what you are providing as entertainment and for how much.

If you're worried about your family, you may want to talk to them first. It's never fun to have people tell you bad things, and even worse to try to keep something like a job a secret from a whole family. Your best bet is to be straight with them and ensure them that if you don't like it, you'll stop.

Most of all, have fun. Dancing can be very profitable and if you seem like you're having a good time, the clients will too, which in turn, makes their wallet looser. You don't have to rip anyone off to make good money. Most people are more than willing to tip good for good entertainment.

And one final word of advice, do not fall into the party girl trap. I've read and spoken with countless girls who have told me of going into dancing to pay for school, but end up spending all their earnings on drugs and alcohol. It's very easy to get used to the party scene, but you have to remember what you're dancing for. Many people have made good livings off dancing, but if you lose sight of what its all for, you'll end up broke with a tired and used body.

Good luck, and maybe give us the club you're going to, get yourself some extra, free advertisement. ^_~

I'm not an exotic dancer but I work as a webcam girl- like a cyber stripper. I feel it's safer and can ease you into the industry. I think stripping can be very empowering and get you in touch with your body. Don't worry about being topless, they are just boobs and it feels good to let them let out- worry more about working in a safe/legit location. Good luck, follow your instincts.
