my mom wont let me ride a dirtbike?

i really want to ride a dirtbike or get one ive ridden my friends dirtbike and im ok at it but i think it will be alot more fun with my own bike and i was thinking of like a pitbike like maybe around 125 cc like the honda crf50 how can i convince my mom that its safe and not a what she calls deathwish

btw im 13 and im 5'7 and under 100 pounds

    I think it depends on how old you are. If you are under 13, she's probably just protecting you from potential damage (an injury on a high speed bike like that could do a lot of harm to you and may affect the rest of your life). If you are in your late teenage years, I'd say to your mom that you are a responsible adult and can take the responsibility of the potential harm that dirt biking may have on you. An injury can affect the rest of your life in some cases, so I guess it's up to you; if you want to risk your life, go for it. Your mother wants you to be safe is all.

    Safe? It's not. It's a risk and your mom knows it. I've owned many dirtbikes, competed for a few years when I was younger and broke more than one bone. It's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of "when".

    If you're going to do it, you'll just have to keep your mouth shut and do it behind her back.

    Kids these days only care about going fast. Back in my day I had a piece of wood and a hoop, and I was happy to have it.
