Whenever any ethical and moral human values are mentioned the so called modern people excuse the same?

People demand practical values. Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Arabindo, Tagore, Vinoba Bhave, L.B.Shastri and many such great persons are cited, they say for ordinary people it is impossible. Unless one practice values in life how can things will be found practical?

All of the people that you have mentioned have made choices in life. It took the appreciation of other people that found value in their choices to become extra-ordinary. However, I feel compelled to say that even without an audience and the man made title of extra-ordinary, these people were a service to the human race. Many profound decisions are made every day with no audience, these people are hero's as well.

I agree with the implication that your question has: People need to recognize that they play an important role in the creation of a better world by making choices that exemplify accountability and responsibility to themselves and the world around them.

In addressing the "Modern People' that you mention, it is less about people and more about a mindset. Some have labeled the current generation the "Me Generation". It seems it has been recognized that many people have no need for ethics or morals until it effects them directly. There is the burden of conflict to those that concern themselves with such things. Mentally it is much easier to ignore ethics and morals avoiding dilemmas of right and wrong altogether. This frees up their minds energy to attain more immediate gratification for themselves. For example, while one is concerning themselves with the conflict and ponders, another grabs up the opportunity.

One of my saying in life is: Perception is mans greatest illusion.

Many are taking special care of their illusion of life. They surround themselves with worthless variables of the material world, covet in their own egos, and use denial as a coping skill. They are content in Plato's Cave.

The great thinkers, artist, and inventors are overwhelmed by a talentless society force feeding a social environment lacking in Morals, ethics, and even common sense on many levels concerning a gamete of issues.

Until people take on the burden of conflict and embrace the idea that their choices have an impact on the whole, they will never be anything more than apathetic self-centered members of society. They are not victims, but rather, the causal agents in the outcomes realized with such apathy for right and wrong.

All the great people in the world besides the ones you mentioned, have left an indelible mark of high moral and ethical values on the society for all of us to emulate. May be in the heat of our being modern , we tend to show off by saying it all to be impractical but in heart of heart we all derive inspiration and sustenance in our growth. Just think of it what would have been the world without their teachings. Let any one say any thing , they still drive us all towards glory.
