Does a DA shows up for an Underage drinking court appearance?

If I was caught with underage drinking at a college campus. The cop just gave me a ticket and let me go home. I have a court date next month, but I would like to know if a DA will be present when I show up before the judge.

Somebody representing the prosecuting agency has to be present. It would most likely be the charging officer, not the DA in an underage drinking case.

the state is always represented with a prosecutor, whether it is municipal, county or state court. Most likely there will be a prosecutor there.

probably not the DA; he's usually busy off in the shadows taking bribes. they will usually send the newbe assistant DA to cover general arraignments.
