Be the Driver or Crew Chief?

i would want to be the driver because i think it`s the ultimate position. and i could always`s blame the crew chief, of course. LOL.

Most definitely the driver. Seems like it would be like flying.....only with too many planes in the way. There are so many factors to being the driver.....the talent, the strength, the stamina, the mental focus, the ability to relay information about how the car is handling, a whole lot of perseverance, with a huge dash of being brave. No matter how great the safety features are now, and they are, crashes at the very least have to rattle a body, and hurt tremendously.....and they have been known to take a life. The hugs and kisses we see before the Drivers get into their cars, show their loved ones holding on a little tighter knowing there is a risk.

Would be nice to also be the Driver with all the knowledge of the Crew Chief.

Robbie Reiser would win as a driver with Matt Kenseth as crew chief. Reiser has solid driving experience, having raced in Wisconsin before stepping out of the race car to be an owner and eventual crew chief. Having also raced in Wisconsin before his NASCAR career, Kenseth knows his way around a racecar and they both communicate very well.

Dang you had to go and ask a difficult question. On one hand I would want to be the crew chief because I think I know everything LOL. Then on the other hand I would want to be the driver because I believe I can out drive any of them.

Easy.

If I was driving the car I would be too busy having fun and wouldn't be thinking about "crew chiefing".

But if I was "crew chiefing" ..... I would be going nuts wanting to wreck Kyle Busch and go for the win.

Defiantly the driver. It seems like it would be more fun and the drivers are the ones who have thousands of fan's cheering them on, not the crew chief.
