Sony Cybershot DSC-T2 Shaking Problems?

I got my camera a few years ago and its been awhile since it started, but sometimes when I go to turn on my camera, it just starts shaking/vibrating non stop until I turn it off. If I leave it alone for a while, it will stop, but it seems like when I put it in my purse (it has a protective case I keep it in), it will vibrate causing it to not be functional for pictures or videos. I'm wondering if the jostling in my purse is making this happen, and if Sony is doing free repairs as they are for the DSC-T20 that has the same problem.

I have the same exact problem. I can tell you it has nothing to do with the carrying as mine stays in the drawer and that problem started a month ago- once in a while you will be able to start it without the vibration but it comes right back. I believe it is a manufacturers and Sony should be able to fix it for free.
