I asked what airline to use for the handicapped. Uses US air and it was awful.?
Several of you told me to call ahead and I did,explaining the handicap. It still was a horrible experience esp, in Charlotte n.c.airport

That is really unfortunate. I broke my ankle while on vacation a few years ago on a cruise ship, and the ship contacted both my airline and the airport, and I got amazing VIP service -- met at the door to the airport by a fellow with a wheelchair and my name on a sign, taken directly through security along with my sister, and taken directly to the plane. I was boarded first. When the plane landed at St. Louis, the reverse happened, all the way to the car. I was very surprised and impressed.

I am sorry that happened. You just got bad luck that day and had people who gave poor service. You can write to US Airways and tell them what happened and hope that they will improve their employee training. Otherwise you can fly another airline next time.
