Do time zones affect updates on the Internet?

For example, if a site is based in Eastern Standard Time and it posts TV show updates at 12 midnight every day. However, if you are in Hawaii (which is six hours behind), will you see the posting at 6 p.m. OR will you have to wait until 12 midnight Hawaii time to see the update?

Update:

The only reason I ask is because everyone on message board I frequent for a TV program is saying something is posted. However, when I go to the site, I am still seeing yesterday's episode. So I began to think that I had to wait until 12 midnight before I saw today's episode. Hoping you're right Baobao, but I am failing to see the update.

What you say makes sense, but I can't figure out - for the life of me - why I am not seeing the most recent update like everyone else on US mainland.

The update are done at 12 everyday.

So wherever you are, it'll be done at 12 on the EST time zone. It's not done locally on your computer, it's done on the server.

To summarize: 12 EST time zone.

The site based in Eastern Standard time uploads a tv update at 12am midnight.

You connect to that site... you download from that site

so time is irrelevant, if its up it's up.

If I am wrong then **** me, that is insane if it's true what you said.

It won't affect your updates at all.
