What is the name of this book?

I am sorry, but I will describe the best that I can. All I can remember about this book is a boy being carried around by a giant in a dream. The giant carries around dreams in this bag that he keep's in jars in his house. They run accross some bad giants that talk about eating people and their bones etc. That is all I really remember.

Thanks,

dE

Yes, that's definitely The BFG by Roald Dahl. It's just that the child is a girl, not a boy. But the giant does have a bag in which he collects dreams from the Dream Country, which he keeps in jars and then blows them into the minds of children so they have nice dreams. When he catches a nightmare instead of a nice dream, he doesn't give the nightmare to a child - he either explodes it or blows into the ears of the evil giants who, as you said, eat people. The man-eating giants all have brilliant names like Bonecruncher, Fleshlumpeater and Gizzardgulper.
