millk is coming out of my dogs nipples, is she pregnant?
her nipples and boobies are swollen. She doesn't get like that when she has period, so it seems a little weird and her private parts don't look swollen.
I'm NOT trying to breed my dog, i have two dogs one male one female. The female dog was rescued from a family who wanted to put her to sleep. Her previous family told me that she was spade and our vet told us she was spade, but he looked like he just had other more inportant things to do.
If you are going to insult me then please skip my question or i will report you and block you.

If she has been mated then there is a possibility that she could be pregnant. If her season is over and she is midway between her next one then she could just be having a false pregnancy.
If you know roughly the dates of her last season then you should count 4/5 weeks from her 14th day and this is about the time you will see any outward changes that are present if she is in whelp, i.e. her nipples will have increased in size and turned a deeper colour pink. You can then ask your Vet to do an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy.
I would be inclined to have her checked out by your Vet. Very early on in the pregnancy, around three and a half weeks (20 to 30 days after mating) a Vet can palpate the female's abdomen and he
should be able to feel the tiny marble-sized foetal units in the uterus, strung out like bead necklace.
If you do not wish her to go through the pregnancy and you have caught her in time, she can be given an injection on two consecutive days to abort the foetuses but this must be done on the 10th and 11th days after the mating.

FIrst of all some female dogs go threw a stage where they think they are pregnant! Both of my females dogs did it also. You need to call your local vet and just ask them if your breed of dog does that also. Good luck! And dont worry about people being so damn rude!

Dogs do go into heat. Can tell you if your dog is pregnant. She could be pregnant but dogs can have false pregnancies and produce milk even though she isnt really pregnant. I would take her to the vet to see if she is pregnant or not. She will need vet check-up through out her pregnancy if she is pregnant.

Uh, BCAddict - NO, dogs most certainly DO NOT get periods. An estrus cycle is the exact opposite of a 'period'
Get her spayed. You sound like a 5 yo, and are in no way mature enough to breed

Take her to the vet - why is she NOT spayed? You need to do that now. Milk only is produced a few days before birth. Any other time and its not a good sign - possible infection or pyrometra (infection in the uterus).

Are you asking random strangers online if YOUR dog is pregnant? Care to tell us why in the world we would know the answer to that question?
DOGS dont have periods
Why dont you visit a vet, genius...
Source(s): Actually, BorderCollieAdict...female dogs go into heat...ITS THE OPPOSITE of what a human female "period" is..... Just an FYI - 1 decade ago
boobies? dogs dont have "boobies". they have nipples for nursing just like every other female. but certainly dont have boobies. when you see a cow with an utter do you say? OMG look at that cows boobies.

Actually Bells, female dogs DO get periods.
Has she been around and intact males recently? I would take her to the vet. They can tell you if she is pregnant and if not what is wrong. Discuss with you vet about getting her spayed too!! You dog will be my happier and healthier .
Good Luck.
