My advice would be to tell her. She needs to know. If she's really into you, then it won't matter. But you guys need to be careful cuz in some countries, dating an under-18 is illegal for an older person - even if she is only a couple of years older than you. Whatever it is, you need to tell her because you don't want your relationship to be based on a lie. She'll find out when she comes anyway so you might as well get it over and done with now.

Since your birthday is in January, she probably mentally calculated you're only about 1 year younger if your birthday is in January - not bad at all. The fact she's a year off of what she thought and you're still technically a minor could be alarming to her.

If you expect the relationship to actually go anywhere, be honest and tell her. Otherwise, you're just setting it up for failure.

well here is the big thing in most states if someone over the age of 18 has sex with someone under 18 they look at that as rape and that's not good so i will tell her no matter what and i would do it b4 she comes down in oct and just tell her what you told us you did not think it was a big deal because its just a few months and see what she has to say good luck
