Can someone help me analyze these dreams?
Lately I've been having these 3 reoccurring dreams ( and by lately I mean a month or so) and I'm certain they mean something because they always have a common element, so please help me
1) first dream : I'm in bed, and suddenly I look up to the top of my bookshelf (which is adorned with a bunch of dusty old books) and see a black and brown huge snake wriggling around in a half empty glass of water. The snake, noticing that I noticed it stops moving and sharply flings itself at me [[ I woke up]]
2) Second dream : I am completely paralyzed in an almost death like state, but completely alive and aware. People are getting my "cadaver" ready, and I get dressed with my clothes inside out and backwards, finally they lay me in a coffin and I see one tear roll down my face and my arms pop up in a really "Frankenstein" stance.
3) Third dream : I am superbly skinny and beautiful with long hair, but have an endotracheal tube, looking in a mirror. I hear children laughing from afar and then someone calls my name, i look away from the mirror and towards the sound but see no one. When I look back in the mirror I am fat ( like Jabba from star wards fat) with bald spots, thinning white hair. Then a snake comes out of nowhere and chokes me, I become skinny again. the dream swirls to my funeral where i'm in my coffin and people can't stop saying how beautiful I am, even in death.

Dear Emmanuelle, Wow, it must be a relief to wake up! First, I feel that the bookshelf and books represent knowledge. Water represents life and emotion, so your fears are certainly wreaking havoc with your emotions. When we dream of things chasing us, we can be experiencing an out of control habit, possibly an addiction. Second dream: are you feeling paralyzed, that is, powerless about something in your waking life? Death tends to represent change. Clothes may mean how we present ourselves to others. Since you cry and extend your arms, are you feeling sad about something and want to escape it? The thire dream seems to be a variation of the second. Perhaps the child in you is feeling lost and confused. Perhaps you feel ugly in your waking life. Hope this helps, even a little. Best, Bret
