my macbook hardrive failed?

i have a 07 update macbook with a 2.16 ghz drive and 120 gb of memory and awhile back i was downloading a software update but i had to go so i left my computer and then my mom closed it while it was still downloading and after that my computer wouldnt load or anything so i bought a new hardrive and a backup drive but now i just saw this http://www.apple.com/support/macbook/hd/repairexte... and im wondering if i could get reimbursed like it says further down the page

    They must send you an email to reimburse you... Chances are you have an new email

    addy that is not same as when you first bought it. So call apple care and ask them if

    you fit the reimbursement plan. Oh just so you know you caused your HD to fail.. the

    mac was shut down in middle of a update or download..it will fail it every time. ]

    they wont know and wont care anyway.

    Take it and and see. Either they will reimburse you, fix it, or you will be able to see what your buying next.
