Should a wolves player been sent off in todays game?

I think so. 7 tackles on Barton no hint of going for the ball. But have to give Barton and the 2 managers credit. The interviewer was trying to make some kind of scandel out of it.

Besides the headlines question I have to ask. Would Barton add more needed fight to the England midfield that Gerrard and Lampard especially has added recently? hes a little shite but he never stops putting in a decent shift

Update:

agreed Buddy. Think alot of people dont like him, like the first two users but the ref is supposed to go by the letter of the law not their preference for certain players.

Players can now go in hard on him and you get 'well he deserved it' but when he goes in just as hard hes a disgrace to football and should be sent to jail for 35 years.

Henry probably should have been given two yellows at some point but I think a lot of people (including referees) just don't like the boy for obvious reasons. That said, he has always had ability and would give the England midfield some bite. Also, it does look like he his trying to cut out the silly behaviour but its too early to tell if he can maintain it.

Certainly! Karl Henry in particular put in crude tackle after crude tackle on Barton (with no attempt to play the ball) and should have been sent off a long time before the final whistle. He finally got a yellow for what should have been a straight red when he took Barton down at chest height and then attempted to stamp on Alan Smith. Unbelievable! Credit to Barton for not reacting to what was obviously premeditated instructions by McCarthy to either injure Barton or to try to get him sent off for retaliation.

Ok, a lot of people don't like Barton, but wait until McCarthy instructs Karl Henry to do the same thing to Scholes, Gerrard, Fabregas, Cahill, or whoever else he feels is a threat.

I never thought I'd say it, but Wenger was right about some of these teams.

I have to give Barton some credit he has seemed to mature over the last two seasons and i hope he can fullfill the potential he had when he played for Man City...........But its early and the premiership will test this new Barton...lets hope HE passes the test.
