Have any dancer had to deal with a satlker?

If so how did you handle it? I'm still thinking about being a dancer but you have to deal with drugs, stalkers, and its a hard decision for me. Yes I respect myself, but its the situation im in.

Update:

I mean exotic dancers or strippers.

My mom always keeps some sandwiches made up if they get hungry. You don't want hungry stalkers...

Haha what? Most dancer's I've met haven't had any issues outside of what a regular person has. They have to deal with drugs and stalkers the same way as a normal person would. Unless you're only tv or get on dance shows like So You Think You Can Dance or America's Best Dance Crew then you probably won't have any more stalkers than the average person. Dancers don't get as much attention as celebrities and who says you have to go into the American entertainment industry? You could become a dance teacher and open your own studio or go dance on Broadway. Even if you wanted to work with celebrities you could be a choreographer and work behind the scenes.

The only time I can think of where you would have an increased access to drugs is when you tour with celebrities. But fame is no excuse to not use common sense! All of these things can be avoided if you use common sense.

Do you mean a professional dancer? I've never heard of dancers dealing with that, but as long as you know what's right and wrong and have enough courage to say "No" to the things you don't want to get involved with, you'll be fine.

    Good luck!
