When a guy hugs you what does this mean?

What does it MEAN?!

Why don't you just ask the guy, if this is important? You are asking a bunch of people who know neither you nor this guy, haven't seen it, etc., and have no idea of the context, to somehow divine the intent and purpose which he has hidden in his own heart and mind.

Does that statement of where we are make it seem a TAD askew...? You know, asking people who have no clue what something only inside some other person's head "means"?

Hugging, if it is NOT part of the "culture" of a situation, probably indicates liking. However, the whole arms thing is just...well, you need to see a psychiatrist if you are trying to read signs in this sort of thing. SERIOUSLY. Barring any other information about starting positions, etc., don't you think that the TALLER person would tend to end up with arms above the shorter person's...just as a matter of obvious geometry?

The real issue is this: you are doing the girl thing of trying to see signs in everything. You need to stop this, right now. And encourage all of your little friends--because you KNOW you talk ENDLESSLY about this sort of thing--to drop it, too, because it is all just WILD SPECULATION, usually based upon NOTHING. What will it get you? You'll waste a lot of time in conjecture and dreaming up BS, and you can make yourself sick and crazy [no comment...! ;-) ] this way.

And it drives guys crazy when women are looking for signs and signals which are just not there.

If you want to know something that someone else could answer, why not just be a _real_ person and just come out and ask. You could say something like, "You know, I really appreciated that hug the other day, because ________________; I was wondering what prompted you to give me one, because that's a new (and welcome) thing for us." Or something like that.

Sheesh.

Ok good I did not understand you or this lady for my part, and all ladies are kinda one of a kind approximately hugs and who will get them etc. But i will attempt to aid up to i will. When i used to be in college, plenty of ladies could hug plenty of men, and its simply ordinary. That is solely their character and i would not begin feeling jealous over who she hugs. It honestly beautiful ordinary. Issue 2, is that you simply without doubt like this lady, and my query to you, is how did she react when you gave her a hug? If she did not run away screaming then i consider you have got a well shot. And if i had been for your sneakers i could ask her out to the films or dinner or whatever, and simply see the way it is going. It will likely be one date, and on the finish of it, you will have a transparent proposal of if she likes you or no longer and except your fairly dim witted which i doubt, you should not have any main issue taking the right steps from there. Also, whats this ladies character like? Happy? bubbly? pleased? is she only a pleasant character? all of the ones are gigantic signs that her hugs are ordinary.

A hug bellow your arms (unless his hands are on your *** or your dating) is just how the guy hugs i guess ive never seen nor have I hugged a girl above her arms. If ive known you for a long time id might do the bro hug thing one arm over one arm under pat on the back thing. There your smart answer to your stupid relationship question. (KATG reference) PEACE!

Depends, some are just casual but there's hugs that mean something. I like to hug them like it's the last time, it always gets them. It's koo for me too, a connection.

Some of us hug you because we care, or just to do it. Hopefully this is the case of the guy caring for you.
