According the Deliotte barca are €442 million in debt (roughly 58% of net worth)?

Of course we all know who barca are and their players etc.

But my question is how did this happen? Over spending transfers? New stadium? lack of income?

And should fans of the club be worried?

It seems that finance is becoming a bigger issue in football every year.

Update:

EDIT agreed. cant believe everything you read and this IS an estimate as far as im aware. BUT barca having to borrow money to pay wages kind substanciates the claim.

Update 2:

Right. That makes sense. Is this the same reason they couldnt offer more then 18m for cesc and how transparent are barca's financial details to its members?

    Key word: according to...

EDIT: We have a new president and all spending was frozen to complete an audit of the finances. The loan was used to pay the players and make other payments since the books from the old presidency were being audited...

EDIT: Is that what you read from the English media? Barça refused to pay more than the €35 million they offered because Fàbregas was our youth player and it would be more than ridiculous to pay an exorbitant amount of money for some one who came from your youth system...

Over-paid transfers, bad management, and paying players' wages far too much.

saqme thing with United .. you have to wonder what bog clubs do with the money - or some profit of them personally and then they leave the club in debt
