Bobby Moore, Charlton, Shearer or Scholes....can't split them....
Scholes is my favourite but he didn't play as much for England...

I would Include Brian Robson - captain marvel was a real box to box player but he had the misfortune to play mostly with below par players during his England days and often carried the team on his own. Shame his career was blighted by injuries.

The first few are OK and the rest are laughable.
Missing is George Best and I wonder why English do not consider him to be a great player.
Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore and George Best that I can recall to be one of the best. May be I may have to go with Bobby Charlton as the best English player, even though George Best could be the best.
