Is it weird to "dress up" on the first day of school?

Yeah kinda. People might stare. I'm 14 and I'm probably going to wear a hoodie and shorts xD

No. It's not weird to dress up on any day at school if that's what you want. I loved wearing nice clothes to school. I mean, I didn't wear nice dresses or anything, but I didn't dress like I woke up and threw on whatever crap I could find, either. I enjoyed looking cute and put-together.

Have fun and wear whatever you want to wear (as long as it's not trashy or physically dirty).

Damn sophomore year, I had some great times that year. I can't believe the amount of time that's passed since it started it all feels like yesterday. Oh well, time for my junior year

Depends what you mean by dress up, if you came in looking like your going to the prom, that's extremly weird.

But if you just change your appearance and wear something nice it isn't weird at all.

Dress up like in a fairytale dress and heels , yes but in a outfit a little more dressy then what you normally wear , no.

surely! Why could that ever be a concern? in case you think of the favored females gets aggravated by using you, upload a cool headscarf or placed a pretend flower upload-ons on your hair! Make your suitable curls something that makes those "familiar" females something to compliment on!

I was always taught that you never get a second chance for a first impression. I don't think its weird at all unless you're overdoing it.

To be honest, yes. I look at school as a place to learn, and by dressing up too much, it looks like you're just looking for attention.

I mean, you could look nice, but you should try to look nice all the time. :)

uhh if you are going to wear like, a dress with highheels it would be weird.

but idk, i think im going to wear skinny jeans and a hoodie xD i'll probably die of hotness but oh well (:

maybe yu shud wear shorts, with a cute top , or skinny jeans with a cute top and flats :)

it would look pretty in my opinion.
