All Active Duty Air Force / Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard personnel (regardless of their selected career field) go through the same basic training program.

Here are some other TIPS / FACTS about Air Force Basic Training:

    1) Expect a lot of hurry up and wait situations.

    2) Start a running program of 1-2 miles / 2-3 times a week / do push-ups for 1 minute / sit-ups for 1 minute

    3) If you smoke - give it up / no tobacco in Basic

    4) Start learning your different ranks both Officer and Enlisted

    5) Listen to what the TI tells you / their will be nightly evening briefs for the next days activities / day starts at 0500 or sooner

    6) Expect a lot of classes / they give you a training manual study guide - your head will be in that manual whenever you have down time

    7) Open showers / Bathroom Stalls / Urinals / Sinks

    8) 1 wall locker with 1 clothing drawer & 1 security drawer

    9) 50 to 60 personnel to a Flight in two open bays

    10) Relax and learn to work together as a group
