cartilage piercing/shattered cartilage?

ok so I got my cartilage pierced today with a gun (yea, now I know its bad)...it was an all-of-a-sudden type of thing so I didn't really have the chance to look up any info on it before. After I got it done, I looked up the info on it and saw something about shattered cartilage. I've been reading more on it and its kind of scary so I've been thinking about taking it off. If I wait until the piercing stops hurting and take it off, is it still possible for my cartilage to stay shattered (sorry if i don't make sense, i don't really get the whole shattered cartilage thing)? what would happen?

Your piercing doesn't have to shatter. Most times it doesn't, that's kind of a rare thing. But if you take it out, KNOWING that it's shattered, then yes it will heal, although you'll have a really small bump where it was. If you know it's shattered, then take it out and clean it regularly, and it's not that bad. But if it feels ok (with pain, it SHOULD hurt), then keep it in. Mine was fine, and I couldn't sleep on it. It's normal for it to hurt. Good luck! (:

there is not any records... it might matter on the gun, the piercer, and your cartilage.Take a danger in case you like, yet i might advise spending the extra couple greenbacks. you're gonna have the piercing for a whilst, ought to besides get it accomplished top. And the gun may additionally introduce micro organism on your piercing by way of fact it could't be sanitized top. in basic terms pointing that obtainable.

if ur cartiledge is shattered you would know it right when u got it pierced, its not an afterfact. its like breaking a bone, its broken when its broken not hours or day after you've been injured, if u are not infected you're probably safe to leave your peircing in

You're overreacting - don't worry about it! I did the same thing with my tongue piercing (I was convinced my tongue would fall off) but I stuck through and 6 months later I still have it. It's all good.
