    It depends on the medium but I would recommend talking to a specialist before doing anything, they can guide you as to the right materials to use rather than potentially making the problem worse. if you know any artists they may be a first point of contact or perhaps a local gallery or framer may be able to give advice.

    Better bring it to a professional artist to repair it, or consult your local museum curators, they should know what to do.
